BGP has expanded its business activities in Nigeria, Niger, Mozambique, Libya, Algeria, Chad, Congo, Uganda, Tanzania and Madagascar, since the establishment of its first overseas branch in Sudan in 1997. Three 4D acquisition projects were successfully fulfilled in Nigeria since 2002. Africa has now become one of BGP’s  main production bases overseas.

Currently, BGP operates 25 crews in Africa and has provided services for GNPOC, Shell, Total, ENI, BP, Repsol YPF, Statoil, Waha, and Woodside. BGP’s dedicated effort gave rise to a great number of oil and gas fields for GNPOC and other energy companies.
