In the year of 1994, BGP won its first overseas 2D seismic project of 949 km in Ecuador. This is also the first project in America – a milestone in BGP’s international business. From then on, BGP has provided services in many American countries, such as Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and Colombia. At present, three crews are operating there. BGP has established an R&D institute and a processing center in the U.S.A, and a processing center in Venezuela.

BGP has provided seismic acquisition, processing, and electric exploration services for PDVSA in Venezuela since 2005. Crew 8630 successfully completed a 3D seismic project of 350 sq. km on March 11, 2006. In total, 11,442 shots were recorded with the highest daily record of 352 shots. Our outstanding HSE management, quality control, and production efficiency were highly commended by PDVSA. On March 22, 2006, BGP was awarded a 3D land seismic Project BARINAS with an area of 1,475 sq km. This is the largest project of PDVSA in the country and commenced in July 2006.
