BGP supports its largest seismic data processing center in China, with the most advanced parallel computers, such as PC-clusters, IBM SP and Sun 4500 computers as well as more than 500 workstations of different kinds. With a total of over 10,000 CPUs installed with BGP-developed software of GeoEast, GRISYS, GBSYS, and Geomodel, and some imported popular commercial software packages, BGP is able to process 250,000 kilometers 2-D, 30,000 square kilometers 3-D, and 15,000 square kilometers 3-D pre-stack depth migration data annually.

There are in total 450 data processing analysts, among whom 80% have a bachelor or a higher degree, 20% have over 20 years’ experience, and 30% have more than 10 years’ experience. BGP has so far processed 2,450,000 km of 2-D data plus 150,000 square km of 3-D data for conventional processing and 80,000 square km 3-D data for pre-stack depth migration, and provided high quality data processing services for many famous oil companies, such as Shell, BP, ENI, ESSO, and ARCO, etc.
