Now, BGP has 6 seismic crews operating in Sudan. The operating environments in Sudan vary significantly, ranging from land, marsh and swamp to transition zones.

BGP Sudan Training Center

The BGP Sudan Training Center is located in Rabak, about 300 km south of Khartoum. A scheduled training program is held every year during the rainy season for a duration of 1 month. The trainees are selected from BGP crews. They are smart, diligent, and good at English. The courses are General Profile of Seismic Operations, Surveying, Explosive Handling, HSE Management, and Cable and Geophone Repair. Exams are held at the end of each training, and 3 categories ( A, B, and C ) are used to assess the trainees’ performance. BGP Sudan has committed itself to realize the localization of middle-and senior-level workers.
