On Dec. 13th, 2008, one tribe in Imo state in Nigeria held a mystic coronation ceremony for Mr. Zhao Enhui, the president of BGP Western Africa. He became the first petroleum professional who was crowned as a chief. It is possible for a foreigner to be crowned as a chief, but only after he is being recognized for making tremendous contribution to the local community.

While they provided seismic services to clients, Mr. Zhao and BGP staff actively adapted to local culture, financially supported students in need, and built pubic facilities such as schools, water well and toilets etc. They have gained broad recognition and respects from local government and community.
