Geophysicist (Based in Saudi Arabia)
Job Responsibilities
Conduct design, quality control and on-site technical support for seismic data acquisition in Saudi Aramco projects.
Perform seismic data processing, imaging, structural interpretation, velocity modeling, inversion analysis and reservoir prediction, and compile professional technical reports.
Cooperate with geology, reservoir and drilling teams to complete integrated seismic-geology modeling and support well location planning.
Proficiently apply mainstream geophysical software to formulate technical solutions and deliver technical presentations in English.
Strictly comply with Saudi Aramco HSSE regulations and on-site safety management requirements.
Complete other technical assignments arranged by the crew management.
Job Requirements
1. Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree or above, major in Geophysics, Exploration Technology & Engineering, Geological Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related disciplines. Master degree is preferred.
2. Working Experience
Bachelor degree holder: minimum 5 years relevant working experience in oil & gas geophysical exploration; overseas project experience especially in the Middle East is preferred.
Master degree holder: minimum 3 years relevant working experience; candidates familiar with Saudi Aramco working procedures and standards are highly preferred.
Practical experience in seismic data interpretation, reservoir evaluation and well deployment support is required.
Working experience with international oil companies is an advantage.
3. Language Proficiency
Excellent English skills (CET-6 or equivalent), capable of fluent technical document writing, daily business communication and English presentation.
Basic Arabic communication ability is preferred but not mandatory.
4. Professional Skills & Personal Qualities
Solid theoretical foundation in seismic exploration, proficient in seismic processing, interpretation and inversion technologies.
Familiar with Saudi Aramco technical specifications and HSSE management system.
Able to adapt to long-term assignment and field working environment in Saudi Arabia with strong teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills.
Good health condition and eligible for overseas physical examination standard.
