Project Progress: The Guyana Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) launched a multi-client 3D seismic data acquisition tender, in which BGP/Viridien participated and was awarded the contract. BGP/Viridien has signed a government cooperation agreement with MNR. |

Hydrocarbon exploration in Guyana offshore is gradually extending from the deep-water 'Golden Lane' to shallow-water areas. Hydrocarbons generated from Cajie source rock and migrate upward into shallow waters and accumulate to form reservoirs. Turbidites,Channel complexes and incised valleys are possible exploration leads in the shallow-water area, New 3D seismic data are needed to map the possible leads. |
