Seismic Acquisition Commences in Papua New Guinea
With its first shot recorded on 12 April, BGP is now
acquiring seismic data with cableless recording system in the mountain and
jungle area in Papua New Guinea.

After 133 days of line clearing, surveying and drilling,
BGP PNG has now commenced the 2D seismic survey as scheduled and resulted in
over 500,000 man hours without a single LTI in spite of ever-present hazards of
mountainous and jungle operation along with stringent HSSE requirements.
Meanwhile, the crew has preventive measures for COVID-19
in place to help protect the employees, customers and communities in the
working area, which further enhances BGP’s commitment to a safe operation.
