OBN Acquisition
In a period of less than 4 years BGP Offshore has established itself as the world’s largest OBN service provider. BGP Offshore currently operates six fully equipped OBN crews.
Our combined OBN fleet includes 12 Ocean-going vessels, over 50 shallow water vessels and 40,000+Nodes.
As a result of this spectacular growth, Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) exploration services have become the dominant business within BGP Offshore.
Throughout our growth we have developed a rich experience in challenging terrains including extremely sensitive coral environments and high activity production platform areas involving thousands of 'close-passes'.
Our spectacular OBN growth would not have been possible without the supporting technologies which we have developed to accompany our OBN operations. These include BGP Dolphin OBN Navigation System and BGP KLSeis-OBN QC Software System. |

Ocean-going OBN Node Vessels
Our fully owned and operated vessels BGP Glory, BGP Commander and BGP DFKT-2 are dedicated OBN acquisition vessels. They are equipped with efficient modular nodal handling systems which provide automatic & semi-automatic node deployment for over 6000 nodes per vessel. |

Ocean-going OBN Source Vessels
BGP Explorer, BGP Challenger and BGP DFKT-1 are fully owned and operated vessels dedicated to OBN shooting. These vessels are capable of dual-source and triple-source configurations. We are also able to offer the vessels in synchronized, multi-vessel simultaneously shooting configuration which has the potential to yield a significant improvement in OBN acquisition efficiency.

 KLSeis-QC Software System
BGP Offshore’s proprietary KLSeis Seismic QC system integrates multiple and onsite real-time data measurements providing complete OBN data quality control.
KLSeis-QC includes:
· SPS data monitoring and processing.
· Realtime and end-of-line air-gun QC monitoring.
· Node QC including noise levels, leakage &
water depth information.
· Node condition and data monitoring including yaw,
pitch & roll.
· Node identing, blocking & combing.
· Clock drift correction.
· Highly accurate acoustic and FBP Node
positioning.
· Sim-Source de-blending.

 Dolphin Navigation System
BGP developed Dolphin is an integrated navigation system designed to meet the navigation requirements of OBC & OBN seismic surveys.
Dolphin is a centralized management system which includes multi-vessel navigation and positioning, remote control, synchronization control quality control. Collectively, Dolphin improves production management, improves data quality, and reduces the overall cost of operations.

Modular Node Handling System
BGP Offshore's Modular Containerized Node Handling System is designed for rapid installment and removal on a variety of vessels.This allows for faster and more flexible mobilization & de-mobilization.The modular system fabrication complies with ABS Offshore Container Guideline requirements and is certified by ABS. The modular system includes node & rope handling equipment, storage, and recharge equipment, Seismic QC hardware and software etc.
