On November 3rd, the closing and award ceremony of the 8th ‘BGP Cup’ National Exploration Geophysics Competition was held at China University of Petroleum (Beijing).
Aiming to provide a platform for participants who are all college students to innovate, practice and cooperate in the field of exploration geophysics, the competition attracted 430 teams from 22 universities and institutes nationwide since it was launched in September. 96 participants from 48 teams made their way to the finals, and 2 contestants were awarded the outstanding winners this year.
As an annual event initiated in 2013, the competition has been sponsored by BGP for eight consecutive years. Gou Liang, the MD and president of BGP, said the event has played an important role in promoting the combination of geophysical theory and practice, technological innovation, and cultivating talents. BGP will further enhance university-industry strategic cooperation, and jointly expedite the development of geophysical technology.
