BGP Oman crew 8622 commenced its 3D land seismic project for PDO under the new contract in March. As the first full scale PDO project acquiring seismic data using nodes, the crew’s configuration consists of 13 seismic vibrators.

Crew 8622 has previously worked with PDO for almost 16 years without Lost Time Injury and with high production efficiency before being put on a stand-by during Covid-19 pandemic since June 2020.

After overcoming varied challenges including manufacturing of new seismic vibrators and nodes in record time and exporting them to Oman, mobilizing contract key personnel in the pandemic restrictions, crew 8622 has safely mobilized on schedule despite all the struggles during these unprecedented times.

This achievement shows a continuous commitment, efforts, cooperation, support and team work of both PDO and BGP Oman. BGP Oman will remain focused continuous emerging HSE risks and absolutely fulfill its commitments to our client.
