In 1995, BGP mobilized a 3D Crew to Pakistan, struggling hard to improve the quality of the services. BGP Pakistan was successful in "Developing the market” and now BGP is known as a competitive international company in the geophysical exploration field with its state-of-the-art equipment and technology as well as experienced employees.

BGP has successfully completed over 200 2D & 3D Seismic Projects in different parts and terrain (Hilly, High Mountains, irrigated, Gobi, alluvium, adverse terrain conditions, Flat, land crops and deserts) with Explosive, Vibrator and Air gun seismic sources. 

Therefore, within very short span BGP gained the trust and confidence of major E&P companies in Pakistan including BP, ENI, OMV, MOL, KUFPEC, UEPL, OGDCL, PPL, MPCL etc.

From high and dense Murree mountains to Potwar planes, Kohat ridges to Suleman Ranges, Rich Cultivated Land to deep floating sand, Kirthar range, to marshy and swampy areas of Sind, dry and rugged mountains to desert of Baluchistan, BGP has completed all projects successfully all over Pakistan.

BGP has rich experience in conducting 3D and 2D seismic operations with high quality resolution data and with provision of maximum and latest equipment to run the project smoothly which was completed effectively within limited time periods.

BGP is unique in many ways in the Pakistan Energy Industry, acquiring the first 3D project, the first flip-flop project, the first wide-line project, the first low frequency project, the first high count 3D project. Over the past 20 years, BGP has introduced the advanced geophysical techniques into Pakistan and made contributions to most of the major oil and gas discoveries, supported E&P Company’s discovered PPL Gambat, Kandhkot Gas Field, MPCL Mari Gas Field, MOL Manzalai/Mamikhel Oil&Gas Field, and many others. BGP is the leading company and major player in Pakistan service market in the past decades.

BGP has four seismic crews equipped with 2D and 3D seismic Equipment, plus one non-seismic crew available in Pakistan presently, to meet the international industry standards, all equipment has been imported from different manufacturers all around the world.

To provide the better logistic support and proper maintenance and look after the equipment, BGP has “TWO LOGISTIC & SUPPORT CENTRES” called warehouses located in KARACHI & ISLAMABAD.

As a leading company, BGP never forgets its social responsibilities. While benefited from the traditional friendship between China and Pakistan, it is BGP’s social responsibility to carry forward this tradition and pass it on.
