Highlights

Since 2008, BGP NIGER has completed 3D seismic acquisition in connecting blocks and processing blocks in Agadem and Bilma.

In 2010, BGP Niger was awarded with “Worker Pioneer” by the All China Federation of Trade Union (ACFTU).

In 2013, the 3D seismic acquisition was deployed with nodal recording equipment and digital seismic system (DSS) and vibrator stake-less navigation system technology. Also BGP NIGER completed data processing of seismic nodal data for the first time.

The results of the comprehensive seismic exploration study have enabled our customers to find several productive wells and oil and gas plays in Niger.

After many years of operating in Niger, BGP has built up large equipment stores and logistic networks in the country, and have operated up to 3 seismic crews and one electromagnetic crew simultaneously, with 119 vehicles – using BGP’s main operation center at Agadem as its support base which includes spare vehicles, a warehouse and a transfer point for personnel and materials.

Social Services

For desert logistics supplies, BGP Niger uses several local contractors, and we generally transport our own diesel, food and other materials from Zinder to our base camp.

BGP Niger takes a proactive approach to engaging and interacting with communities in the regions where it operates and with many years of experience BGP believes it has developed strong working practices to ensure a minimal impact on the ground. Since coming to Agadem, BGP has made every effort to recruit residents of local communities and the maximum number of locals annual employment is up to 1,500.

BGP Niger has also put in place a comprehensive social program in the Agadem area, including donating hand pumps for water wells, donating school supplies and providing medical assistance.
